어떤 일이나 순서, 장소 등에서 뒤따라 발생하거나 오는 것.

주로 공식적인 글이나 보고서, 논문에서 사용함. 'subsequent 이벤트', 'subsequent 단계' 등 이어지는 것을 표현할 때 쓴다. 즉각적으로 다음에 오는 의미는 아님.
