サブネットとは、大きなコンピュータネットワークを管理しやすくするために分割された小さなネットワーク部分です。

ITやネットワーク関連の専門用語で、フォーマルや業務上の場面で使われます。「サブネットを作成する」「デバイスをサブネットに割り当てる」などの表現が多いです。「セグメント」や「ネットワーク」とは区別します。
