Definition
何かを始めること。特に会話や友情、音楽を自分から始めるときによく使います。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主にカジュアルな場面で使われます。「strike up a conversation」や「strike up a friendship」のように使い、自分から始める時に用います。運動の開始には使いません。
