人がとても正直でまっすぐな性格であること、または物がとてもまっすぐな形をしていることを表す表現です。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
やや古めの表現。正直さや性格を強調する時使うが、形がとてもまっすぐな場合にも使われる。同性愛や性的指向を表す意味はない。
