어떤 집단이나 무리에서 뒤처지는 사람이나 것. 주로 이동 중에 끝까지 따라오지 못하는 사람을 가리킴.

주로 사람에게 쓰이지만 동물이나 사물에도 사용 가능. 등산, 경주, 단체 활동 등에서 자주 쓰이며, 일부러가 아니라 따라가지 못해 뒤처지는 상황을 의미함.
