Definition
Bloquear o llenar un agujero o abertura para que nada pueda pasar. Se usa mucho con tuberías, botellas o huecos.

Es algo formal o anticuado en el habla diaria. Frecuente en instrucciones ('stop up the hole'), bricolaje, reparaciones y contexto médico ('stop up the wound'). No confundir con 'stop' (detener); 'stop up' es bloquear físicamente.
