Definition

바늘과 실로 천을 꿰매어 만드는 선이나 무늬, 혹은 꿰매는 행위 자체를 말합니다.

주로 옷 제작, 자수, 가방·소파 커버 등에 쓰이며, 바느질의 결과로 보이는 선 자체나 바느질 행위를 모두 의미합니다. 의학적 봉합과는 구분해야 합니다. 자주 쓰는 표현: '깔끔한 바느질', '이중 바느질'.
