布を縫い合わせるときに針と糸でできる線や、そうした縫う作業のこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に裁縫や刺繍、布を縫い合わせる際に使われます。仕上がりが見える線を指し、医療用縫合には使いません。「きれいな縫い目」「二重ステッチ」などの表現があります。
