Definition

রেকাব হলো ঘোড়ার জিনে লাগানো দুইটি ধাতব গোলাকার ফাঁকা অংশ, যাতে চড়াওয়ালা তার পা রাখে। একই শব্দ চিকিৎসাবিদ্যায় পা রাখার যন্ত্র বোঝাতেও ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

সাধারণত 'stirrups' ঘোড়ার চড়ার সরঞ্জাম বোঝাতে হয় এবং সবসময় বহুবচনে থাকে। চিকিৎসা পরীক্ষায় পা রাখার জন্য 'স্টিরাপ' বলা হয়। 'spur' (পাদাব্যঞ্জন) সাথে গুলিয়ে ফেলো না।
