Definition

馬の鞍の両側にぶら下がって、騎手が足を乗せるための平らな輪やフレーム。医療時にも同様の足をのせる器具を指すことがある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に乗馬の際に使うが、医療用器具としても使うことがある。「stirrup」は必ず一対で使い、「stir up」と混同しないよう注意。
