Definition

किसी खास मकसद के बिना जगह-जगह घूमना या छोटी-छोटी, महत्वहीन चीज़ें करते रहना। आमतौर पर बेचैनी या किसी चीज़ का इंतज़ार करने की स्थिति दर्शाने के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

आम तौर पर अनौपचारिक और बातचीत में इस्तेमाल होता है, जब कोई उदासीनता या बोरियत से बिना मकसद के घूमता है। 'stir' (खाना मिलाना) से न मिलाएँ। अधिकतर continuous tense में आता है: 'was stirring around'।
