Una etiqueta negativa o sentimiento de vergüenza que la sociedad asigna a una persona o cosa, normalmente porque se considera diferente o inaceptable.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Uso formal, social o psicológico. Expresiones comunes: 'estigma social', 'estigma de la salud mental'. Se refiere a una reputación que causa que alguien se sienta excluido o juzgado. No confundir con el sentido biológico en botánica, poco frecuente.
