Definition

「Sticking」とは、何かが表面にくっついていたり、動きにくくなっていたり、何かが外に飛び出している状態を指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「sticking to the wall」は壁にくっついている、「the door is sticking」はドアが引っかかって開かない、「sticking out」は何かが飛び出していると言う時に使います。「sticky」は形容詞、「sticking」は動作や一時的な状態に使います。「sticking to」は「守る」の意味では別の用法です。
