Definition
使某物完全干净、无细菌或病菌，通常通过加热或化学方法；也指使人或动物失去生育能力。
Usage Notes (Chinese (Simplified))
常用于医疗、兽医或清洁环境中。常和“器械、房间、手术工具”搭配。既可指杀死细菌，也可指使生物绝育。注意不要与“消毒(sanitize)”或“杀菌(disinfect)”混淆，这两者只是部分清洁。
