Torres são estruturas altas e pontiagudas que surgem nos telhados de igrejas ou outros edifícios, geralmente para abrigar sinos ou como destaque arquitetônico.

'Steeples' é praticamente exclusivo para arquitetura de igrejas e contextos religiosos. Não se usa a palavra para arranha-céus ou torres em geral. Exemplo: 'church steeple', 'high steeples'.
