Definition

人々が唾を吐くために床やテーブルに置かれる、金属や陶器製の容器で、主に昔の公共の場で使われていました。

現代ではほとんど使われず、歴史的な文脈や博物館、昔の映画や本で見かける語です。日常生活ではほぼ使いません。
