Definition

अगर कुछ 'sparse' है, तो वह बड़ी जगह में बहुत कम मात्रा में फैला होता है। इसका उपयोग कम घनत्व या बिखरा हुआ दर्शाने के लिए किया जाता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'Sparse' औपचारिक है और आमतौर पर 'hair', 'population', 'vegetation' आदि के साथ आता है। यह 'dense' का विपरीत है। इसे 'scarce' (कमी, उपलब्धता) के साथ न मिलाएँ।
