「スペード」はトランプの黒い葉の形のマーク、または地面を掘る道具「シャベル」の複数形です。

カードのスート「スペード」は必ず複数形・大文字で使い、『the ace of Spades』や『Spadesをプレイする』などで用います。シャベルは複数の道具を指します。「ハート」「クラブ」「ダイヤ」と区別しましょう。
