降雪とは、一定期間に降る雪の量や、雪が空から降る出来事を指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

通常は数えられず、「heavy snowfall（大雪）」や「light snowfall（小雪）」のように使います。天気予報でよく登場します。「吹雪（blizzard）」とは異なり、強風を含みません。
