누군가 또는 무언가에게 매우 조용하고 몰래 다가가다. 보통 들키지 않으려고 할 때 사용함.

주로 비격식적. 게임, 장난, 이야기에서 사람, 동물, 사물에도 사용할 수 있음. 대개 'someone' 또는 'something'과 함께 사용. 'sneak up on'과 혼동하지 말 것—그쪽은 놀라게 하는 의미가 큼.
