‘Yuva’ dar bir boşluk, programdaki müsait zaman aralığı veya kumarhanedeki slot makinesini ifade edebilir.

Genellikle çoğul kullanılır: ‘time slots’ (randevu için), ‘memory slots’ (bilgisayarda), ‘slot makinesi’ (kumarhane). Anlamı bağlama göre değişir.
