Slits são aberturas ou cortes longos e estreitos feitos numa superfície ou material. Podem aparecer naturalmente ou serem feitos, como em papel, roupa ou paredes.

"Slits" é usado sobretudo para aberturas físicas, como "fendas no tecido", "fendas verticais". Não confundir com "slice" (fatia). Raramente usado figurativamente; termo mais técnico ou formal.
