한숨도 못 자다

Definition

잠을 전혀 자지 못하는 것, 한순간도 못 잔 상태를 말함. 보통 밤새웠을 때 사용함.

거의 항상 부정문('한숨도 못 잤다')에서 사용합니다. 잠깐 졸았다는 의미에는 쓰지 않습니다.

I didn't sleep a wink last night.

어젯밤 나는 **한숨도 못 잤다**.

She couldn't sleep a wink because of the noise.

소음 때문에 그녀는 **한숨도 못 잤다**.

The baby cried all night, so we didn't sleep a wink.
