비공식적이고 가볍게 부정적인 느낌이 있다. 'slapdash work', 'slapdash repairs'와 같이 많이 쓰인다. 'sloppy'와는 다르며, 'slapdash'는 주로 빨리하거나 신경을 덜 쓴다는 의미가 강하다.
