まっすぐや垂直でなく、どちらかに傾いていること。または情報などを特定の視点や偏った形で示すことも指します。

名詞でも動詞でも使います。名詞は『a slant on the story』（見方・バイアス）、動詞は『to slant the truth』（意図的に偏らせる）などの表現でよく使われます。
