• 天窓（てんまど）

Definition

屋根や天井に取り付けられ、上から自然光を室内に取り込むための窓です。普通、壁に窓が少ない部屋を明るくするために使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「skylight」は壁の窓や車の「サンルーフ」とは異なり、主に屋根にある窓を指します。「skylightを設置する」や「skylightからの自然光」などの表現で使われます。
