Definition

স্কার্টিং হলো ঘরের দেয়ালের নিচে লাগানো কাঠ বা প্লাস্টিকের ফিতা, যা দেয়ালের নিচের অংশে সজ্জা ও রক্ষা দেয়। এটি কোনো জিনিসের পাশে বা কিছুর বিষয় এড়িয়ে যাওয়া বোঝাতেও ব্যবহার হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

ঘর সাজানোর ক্ষেত্রে 'skirting board' বলা হয়। সমস্যা এড়ানোর অর্থে 'skirting around the issue' বা 'skirting the question' বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
