Definition

উপজাতি হলো সেই মজবুত তন্তু, যা মাংসপেশীকে হাড়ের সাথে যুক্ত রাখে। এটি কখনও কখনও শক্তি বা মূল ভরসা বোঝাতেও ব্যবহার করা হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

আধুনিক কথোপকথনে খুবই কম ব্যবহৃত; সাধারণত সাহিত্য, ইতিহাস বা শারীরবিদ্যায় দেখা যায়। 'the sinews of power' এর মতো রূপকার্থেও ব্যবহার হয়। 'nerves' (স্নায়ু) নয়।
