رفع وخفض الكتفين عادة للإشارة إلى أنك لا تعرف أو لا تهتم.

يشيع استخدامه للتعبير عن الشك أو اللامبالاة أو العجز. يُستخدم كفعل ('هو يهز كتفيه') أو كاسم ('بهزة كتف').
