Definition

建設や修理中に建物や構造物が崩れないように、一時的に支えるための手法や資材。

主に建設や土木分野で使われる言葉です。'temporary shoring'（仮支保工）、'steel shoring'（鋼製支保工）などが一般的。精神的な支えには使いません。
