কেউ দোকান থেকে টাকা না দিয়ে জিনিস চুরি করলে তাকে বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটি 'shoplift' শব্দের অতীত রূপ।

'Shoplifted' সাধারণত আইনগত ও দৈনন্দিন ভাষায় ব্যবহার হয়। 'Robbed' মানে জোরপূর্বক কিছু নেওয়া, যখন 'shoplifted' মানে চুপচাপ চুরি। যেমন বলায় যায়, 'was caught shoplifting', 'he shoplifted from the store'।
