Definition
シェリー酒はスペイン南部原産の強化ワインで、少量ずつ飲むのが一般的です。辛口から甘口まであり、食前酒や食後酒としてよく飲まれます。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
基本的に数えられない名詞として使います。'some sherry'は「少しのシェリー酒」、'a glass of sherry'は「シェリー酒一杯」など。'dry sherry'（ドライ）、'sweet sherry'（スイート）、'cooking sherry'（料理用）などによく使います。人名の「シェリー」とは混同しないようにしましょう。
