被遮擋陽光或部分遮擋，使其更涼快或更暗。也可以指顏色較深的色調。

常用於指避開陽光的地方或繪畫中較暗的部份，如“shaded area”或“shaded drawing”。不要與“shadowed”混淆，後者多指具體陰影。語氣中性。
