Definition

粗末で簡単に作られた小さな小屋や家で、主に安価な材料や拾ったもので作られる仮設の住居を指します。

'小屋'や'バラック'は貧しい地域や仮設の住宅によく使われます。「tin shacks」なら「トタン屋根の小屋」と訳す場合も。「キャビン」とは異なり、質素で不安定な建物を指します。
