식사 전에 접시, 수저, 컵 등 식탁 위에 식사용품을 올려 준비하는 것.

가정이나 식당에서 식사 준비 시 자주 쓰입니다. 정중한 부탁에는 'Could you set the table?'처럼 사용합니다. 'clear the table'(식사 후 치우기)와 혼동하지 마세요.

Please set the table for dinner.
