किसी चीज़ को पूरे समूह या स्थान से, भौतिक या विचारात्मक रूप से, अलग करना। यह बोलचाल में कम और लिखित/तकनीकी निर्देशों में अधिक मिलता है। अक्सर passive रूप में आता है ('was separated off')।
