배웅하다물리치다 (경쟁자 등)

Definition

누군가를 떠나는 장소(공항, 역 등)까지 배웅하여 작별 인사를 하는 것. 때로는 경쟁자 등을 물리치거나 처리한다는 뜻도 있다.

친구나 가족이 여행 갈 때 자주 사용. 경쟁자를 '배웅하다'로는 잘 안 쓰고, 이길 때 '물리치다'가 자연스럽다.

We went to the airport to see off my cousin.

우리는 사촌을 **배웅하러** 공항에 갔다.

They came to the station to see off their friends.
