ビジネスでは、別の部署や会社に一時的に派遣されることを指します。会議では、他の人の提案を正式に支持する意味でも使われます。

フォーマルな文脈で使われます。'seconded to'は一時的転属や派遣を意味し、'seconded the motion'は提案を支持したことを表します。「秒」や「2番目」の意味とは異なります。
