座席とは、人が座るための椅子や場所、またはそれらの配置方法のことです。特に劇場やスタジアム、レストランなどで使われます。

「Seating」は全体の収容人数や配置（"the seating is for 200" や "the seating plan"）を示します。「seat」とは異なり、集合的または配置全体を指します。フォーマルで中立的な語です。
