Definition

쉽게 얻기 어렵거나 드러나지 않은 것을 얻기 위해 집요하게 찾거나 추구하는 것. 문어체나 문학 작품에서 자주 사용됨.

일상 대화에서는 거의 사용하지 않으며, 문학이나 역사적 문맥에서 쓰인다. 현대 일상에서는 'search for'를 더 많이 쓴다.
