'Scot' luôn viết hoa khi dùng để chỉ người. Dạng tính từ thường dùng 'Scottish', ví dụ 'Scottish food'. Không nhầm 'Scot' (người) với 'Scotch' (đồ vật, nhất là rượu whisky).
