এই শব্দটি আনুষ্ঠানিক এবং সংবাদ, ইতিহাস, সাহিত্যিক আলোচনায় বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়। উদাহরণ হিসেবে 'বর্বরতার প্রদর্শনী' বা 'বর্বরতার কাজ'। দৈনন্দিন কথাবার্তায় খুব একটা ব্যবহৃত হয় না।
