Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に裁判や公式な場面で使われ、『裁判官が被告に不利な判決を下す』などで使われます。日常会話ではほとんど使いません。

Examples

The judge ruled against the defendant.

裁判官は被告に**不利な判決を下した**。

The committee ruled against the proposal.

委員会は提案に対して**否決した**。
