“漫游车”通常指能在行星或月球表面行驶、用于探索和采集信息的机器人车辆。偶尔也指喜欢四处游荡的人，但现代主要用于太空探测器。

日常中“漫游车”几乎只指太空探测机器人，如“火星探测车”。用来指“喜欢游荡的人”已非常少见。常与“火星”“月球”等搭配。不要用来形容普通车辆或司机。
