Horoz, genellikle sabahları yüksek sesle ötmesiyle bilinen yetişkin erkek tavuktur.

‘Rooster’ terimi Amerikan İngilizcesinde yaygındır; genç erkek tavuklar için 'cockerel' kullanılır. Dişi tavuklar için kullanmayın ('hen').
