Registrar o valor de uma compra no caixa, ou (informalmente) ligar para alguém pelo telefone.

Normalmente usado no varejo para registrar vendas: 'ring up a sale.' No inglês britânico, pode significar 'ligar.' Em inglês americano, geralmente só sobre o caixa. Não confunda com 'ring' sozinho, que significa 'ligar' no sentido geral.
