物理的に硬くて曲がらない性質や、考え方やルールが柔軟でない様子を指します。

'Rigidity'はやや堅めの言葉で、物やアイディア、制度などが柔軟でないことに使います。'rigidity of the law', 'rigidity of thought'のように使われ、'flexibility'の反対です。
