একটি দীর্ঘস্থায়ী রোগ যা সাধারণত গাঁট বা পেশিতে ব্যথা, ফুলে যাওয়া বা শক্ত হয়ে যাওয়া সৃষ্টি করে।

'Rheumatism'医学 ও বয়স্কদের ক্ষেত্রে বেশি ব্যবহার হয়, সাধারণত অস্থায়ী ব্যথার জন্য নয়। আধুনিক চিকিৎসায় আরও নির্দিষ্ট শব্দ ব্যবহৃত হয়।
