何かや誰かを再び生き返らせたり、意識や活発な状態に戻すこと。また、何かを再び盛んにする意味もある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

ややフォーマルな場面で使われることが多いです。人の意識回復、伝統や興味を再び蘇らせる場面などでよく使われます。「目覚める」とは異なります。
