রেজিস্টর হল এমন একটি বৈদ্যুতিক যন্ত্রাংশ যা সার্কিটে বিদ্যুৎ প্রবাহ নিয়ন্ত্রণ বা সীমাবদ্ধ করে।

'রেজিস্টর' শুধুমাত্র ইলেকট্রনিক্স ও প্রযুক্তিতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'fixed resistor', 'variable resistor' - এই ধরনের শব্দগুচ্ছের সঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'resistance'-এর সঙ্গে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না, কারণ সেটা সম্পত্তি বোঝায়, বস্তু নয়।
